About Me:

For those of you who don't know my background I had a beaded jewelry business 20 years ago when the "Bohemian" look was called the "Gypsy" look! I went from there to a career in fundraising for various non-profits, all the while still collecting, drooling and, yes, fondling gems! I am now a free-lance PR and Marketing professional and have decided to return to my first love! I am currently taking Jewelry Design and Lapidary classes at Venice Adult School (no not Venice, Italy - Venice, CA)and am just finishing up my first classes toward my Graduate Gemologist certification from GIA.

Today's Daily Jewel is Beadweaving - Sculptural Art and Beyond

I am looking at The Art of Weaving Glass Beads - the Spring 2008 show
at Mostly Glass Gallery in New Jersey!

This show featured Madelyn Ricks and Sharmini Wirasekara along with
five other artists working in jewelry and sculptural bead weaving.

Hopefully I have included enough eye-candy to encourage you to check

JCK Las Vegas Trade Show - Be Our Guest!

The JCK Las Vegas Show is in it’s 17th year and like the Tucson Show it has attracted the independent Gem & Jewelry shows we all know from the desert event. Wholesale and Retail shows are popping up at most of the hotels surrounding the Sands and Venetian Resorts.

his own Studio in San Diego.
