I am a Princeton, NJ based jewelry artist, trained in classical jewelry making techniques, such as granulation, chainmaking, metalsmithing, and enameling.
I received my BFA in 1973 and continued my jewelry education at the “Jewellery Workshop & Gallery” in NYC under the instruction of Fredricka Kulicke and Joseph English. I taught jewelry making at my home studio until moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1979.
I attended classes at the California College of Arts and Crafts and at the Revere Academy of Goldsmithing. At the same time I was head bench jeweler in the repair and custom design department for a well known retail jewelry store in Castro Valley, California. (I was working under the name Nancy Hannigan). I also taught jewelry making at a crafts center in the area.
In 1983, I moved back to New York where I taught classes and created pieces.
Contemporary cloisonne enamels in fabricated silver and gold settings with handwoven chains. Granulated jewelry in fine silver and 22K gold. Limited edition jewelry.

Hi Nancy thanks for having a look at my stuff. As for how I got started... I went back to college as a mature student, studied fine art and was interested in artists books, textiles and sculpture. The jewellery is a way of combining all three interests.
