My Waste Free Day for WRAP’s Recycle Week

Last week I pledged to go waste free for a day.  You can find out how I got on, and what I learned, over at My Zero Waste, where I have written a guest post: Zoe’s Waste Free day for WRAP’s Recycle week. My Sustainable Gardening Tips have also been featured on Be More Eco. All in [...]

Recycle Week 2009

Recycle Week 2009 starts on Monday 22nd June. This year’s theme is ‘Let’s waste less’ and you can make a pledge at http://www.recyclenow.com/. It wasn’t hard for me to pick my pledge as I already do all of them except one: I pledge to go waste free for a day, or I will cook all the [...]

Sustainable Gardening Tips

Growing your own veg is undoubtedly better, for you and the planet, than buying them from the supermarket.  However, the way you grow your vegetables also has its own effect on the environment.  The obvious issue is whether to use chemicals (including fertilizers, weedkillers and pesticides) or whether to go organic.  But beyond that, there are [...]

National Vegetarian Week

Ok, so I’ll start with a confession: I am not a vegetarian. However, I do like to dabble in a bit of veggie cooking now and then, and I am taking babysteps to reduce the amount of meat I eat. My reasons? It is greener, healthier and cheaper. This week is National Vegetarian Week (18 [...]

Book Review: Shades of Green by Paul Waddington

This is a repost of a book review I wrote last year. Nothing in life is black and white, and this goes for being green as well. In Shades of Green, Paul Waddington tackles a range of areas from aeroplanes to wine and outlines different choices, ranking them from ‘deep green’ to ‘not at all green’. [...]

My blog

Hi, I'm Zoe and I make jewellery from recycled and reclaimed materials. This means that everything I make is both eco-friendly and completely unique. I have recently set up a blog, where I write about the materials I have found and my new creations, as well as the experiences of trying to promote my blog and etsy shop (which is like a full time job itself!). You can read this at http://rekindled.wordpress.com.

On my blog you will also find a link to… Continue

Yup you totally fit (eg I just ran a contest about recycled items and I love jewellery with buttons in it). Here's how it works. You must post at least 3 times during the week but you can post more if you'd like. One post can be a full on promotion for you and your goods - carte blanche. Another post MUST be about a crafter from my flickr group set up to find people to feature at the blog (I'll invite you to it and you can see who has been featured already and pick your favourite to use in your post). The final post can be about anything crafty you like but can not be another post entirely promoting your endeavours.

In return for helping me out I will add your link to the blogs sidebar permenenantly. Also you can have your etsy mini displayed at the bottom of the blog while you're guest blogger and then until we have a new featured crafter at the blog. You can also mention (eg a sentence or a quick shop link) what you've been up to craft wise in each post you make.

Thanks so much for agreeing to help out. I'm about to set up my first guest blogger to be able to post so once I've worked out how to sort that out I'll e-mail you as well, along with precise dates.

Hello saw your post on my guest blogger thread. I know you said you're away the begining of April and sparroworiginal is going to help me out with the first spot but I have a second spot for the last week of April when I'll be in Italy. If you're interested let me know.

I love that you try to use recycled items for your pieces. I am also trying to incorporate that into our work.
