About Me:

I am a full-time Project Manager, a wife and a mother of two beautiful girls (28 and 19). In my spare time (what little there is), I am a silversmith and jewelry designer. All my work is handmade.

Right now I'm into soldering, fusing, and hammering, and am always trying to expand my skills. I also do lampwork beads. I was recently juried into the local Craftsmen's Guild, so I am focusing more and more on my silver work. I do use a lot of gemstone beads and freshwater pearls -- I love the interest they add to a piece, but even on my beaded jewelry, I make the clasps, head pins, and most of the chains.

For the last few years, I've been selling my work exclusively at art and craft fairs,but I've just opened my shop on Etsy. I'll still do shows...they are fun. You can find my schedule on my main website.

Favorite Designers/Artists:

I took a goldsmithing class recently from Michael David Sturlin, so he's at the top of my list right now. I also subscribe to the Orchid List (Ganoksin.com) and all the jewelers, designers, artists... active on that list are my heroes. Favorite Music/Musicians:

Love classic rock...Fleetwood Mac was always one of my favorites (and Stevie Nicks just gets better with time). I guess I am dating myself here. Like a lot of current stuff, too. John Maher, Sara Bareilles (actually saw her at a Maroon 5 concert several years ago, before anybody else knew who she was), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Papa Roach (hate the name!), the Killers...

Favorite TV Show & Movies:

The Food Network -- I absolutely love Alton Brown (he's the Bill Nye of cooking shows!). HGTV, the Discovery Channel, and the original CSI.
