About Me:: I have been all over the world with my Husband for the US military, including but not limited to Kuwait, Afghanistan and the Marshal Islands. I am Finally living back in the Beutiful state of Colorado. I've been crafting for as long as I can remember. I'll play around with almost everything but beading/jewelry is where my true passion is.

I am a/an:: Independent Artist/Designer, Blogger, Supporter, Shopper, Independent Retailer

(Designers only) I create:: I create Jewelry from all types of beads and metals. I seem to do more chainmail than any other type of jewelry though. I enjoy taking a set pattern and changing it to make it something unique and my own. My second favorite techinique would be off looms stiches with tiny beads, again I love taking a pattern and changing it to make it different and unique.

(Designers only) I have been featured on:: Blossoming Tree's Blog another Indie Public Member.

(Designers only) My work is sold at:: I currently only sell my work on Etsy but I am working on building my own website at www.skybyes.com. One day I hope to be able to move my work off etsy and completly to my own website. Now the website is just a front page dirrecting you to my blog. I do plan on having a place to make custom orders nearly as soon as the site is up and running. For now I'm just selling on Etsy but it's good to have plans for the future.

Favorite Music/Musicians:: I love Santana, Rascal Flats, Enya, Tori Amos, and Bon Jovi thats just to name a few of my favorites. Next week it will be different as my moods change so does what I listen to.

Favorite TV Show & Movies:: House, Bones, American Idol, Scrubs, ER, CSi (has to be Vegas not Miami).

Favorite Books / Authors:: Sara Douglas, Diana Gabaldon, Tolkien, Stephen King

I wanted to do a promotion with our troops overseas in mind. So for the Month of June I will be selling a few items tagged “Support your troops” for each one of these items that sells I will make a two dollar donation towards a care package. Depending on how well this is received I hope to be able to do packages to all three locations but that depends on the buyers as much as me. The new items are here!

All of the Items in my Coming Soon album have arrived and I am putting them into my etsy shop daily. I will also be featuring a few of the new items on my blog giving everyone a deeper look into the peice and it's background.

Whats funnier then a wet cat?

A wet cat with a Mohawk! So I wasn't feeling to good yesterday was down and out with a nasty headache. During the day I realized I needed to get away from my computer because looking at the screen was only making my head hurt more. I went over and started working on a couple pairs of earrings and when it took me five minutes to put one bead on a twenty gauge wire because my hands were shaking so bad I gave up on that also. My blog has lots of tips & hints for new Etsy members. I've been on Etsy for over two years now & want to give back to the community by helping younger shops. Give it a peek! It has a big plug board for you to load your link up free & two nice spots to run project wonderful ads. Plus, I like to do blog site, link exchanges. I usually get between 75 to 300 hits a day so it stays busy & is a nice place to promote from.
