About Me:

Hi,
I am a 29 year old Capricorn born in the year of the horse
(element: earth and combination element: fire).
I don't really know what all of that means but there it is.
I am a self taught, self employed artist living again in the mid west.

I was born in the mid west but moved around
a LOT as both a child and as an adult.
Born the 5Th of my mothers children. I was never a typical girl.
I had to many brothers for that.
We were rather poor so my imagination was the best toy I had.

I was then and remain now a nerd.
I love fantasy and sci-fi, I read a lot
(not just fiction but everything I can get my hands on).
I enjoy a little t.v. every now and then.
I am however addicted to the animated show
Blood + on cartoon network (I don't know why).
Music is necessary to my life. I have no favorite type or genre of music
and prefer to keep the soundtrack of my life fresh and unrestricted.
As far as inspiration goes there are a lot of artist's that have influenced my art,
inspired me to challenge my own creative thought,
and motivated me to never stop evolving.
However, none more than my parents who's own artist talent
and creative thought never ceases to amaze me.
Who's constant belief in me does more for me than anything ever could.

While I grew up surrounded by artist's and ended up married to one
I did not know that I possessed any artistic talent until a few years ago.
How did I find this talent after so many years? Well that is a story for another time.

I did however start painting at the end of 2004.
Taking it full time by the beginning of 2005.
My art can now be found in collections on 6 continents.
Having sold hundreds of painting to date.
However, it was not until mid 2007 that my life and art work
changed dramatically and I adopted the
Pseudonym, Nom de plume or "Brush Name", Bellatrix.
