Procrastination Day, but "I'll Turn Out Fine"

You may have seen this on my main page but I was dying to put something in today to encourage anyone else to do the same should they feel led (hint, hint, is the guilt nagging at ya yet???)
I was in a procrastinating mood the other day and took a series of candid shots of the kids with various settings and exposures. Told them to "just stand there, don't talk to me or entertain me, just BE." None of them really understood what I was doing and wasn't quite please with a camera up in their face, but I loved every minute of it. Watching them first squiggle, then be bored and impatient, then tolerant then start drifting off to think of other things besides the camera in their face. I only took the shots when the exposure highlighted an expression of an idea or feeling.
The music is The McCains, local artists who were home schooled and travel worldwide. Somehow they find time to teach my eldest the mandolin and second eldest the fiddle.

Let me know what you think, its really my first attempt at doing a "video." LOL My parents didn't "get it", they just kept advising me of the poor exposures and not so attractive poses...Sonya

Kind of reminds me of a "not so perfect" homeschool day, sometimes they're underexposed, sometimes over exposed, yet in the end.....they end up with something substantial to take away...

There are so many talented Moms out there. I want to honor them. Im starting a Virtual Craft Fair and Gift Guide. I have a page dedicated solely to Mommaprenuers, artists that are work at home moms. If you are interested in being featured send me an email to kerri@cafehandmade.com.

PV, I love the video. All your kids look great, and so ... kid-like in the "bad exposures and unflattering poses." I love it.

The early shots of L are really great. She is beautiful normally, but there is just something about the B&W that makes her looks haunting.

Hi Ladies! Just stopping by to say hello. I've been homeschooling my dd for 5yrs, we're now doing HS. I'm in So. GA and glad to find a support group, cuz Lord knows, we can surely use a good support system! :c)
