Hi everyone! I want to share with you a new site called ArtFire. It's mostly for handmade items, like etsy, but there's also sections for design, and for supplies/vintage. They have some pretty cool features that are different from etsy, and once the site gets going (it's still in beta now) I think it is going to be Fabulous!!

Best part about it? They're offering $7.00/mo verified memberships for the first 5000 people that sign up. Seven dollars a month. That's it. That's 23 cents a day. That's the same as it costs to list or relist one item per day on etsy (about). My etsy bill is usually about $30 to $50 per month. So seven is a GREAT deal! There are no listing or transaction fees. Just the one monthly. AND they have where it can come out of your paypal, too. Oh etsy why won't you let us pay our fees with paypal??

AND they have stats! Yes! They tell you how many hits your shop and each item gets, but most importantly, the referrers! That way you know if people care coming to your site from flickr, twitter, or a google search. Yes!

They have a one page listing process that's nice and simple. You can accept offers on your items (although this is not something that I do). Google Checkout and RME are integrated! You can set your items to automatically markdown themselves. Lots of other great things. :D

Here's the link if you all would like to sign up!

Can't wait to see you all there. :D

Thanks! I think you'll enjoy it there. So far it's so good for me! I'm working on moving inventory over from etsy at the moment.

I'll second this from Jessice! I actually was her first purchase on Artfire :-) It still has a way to go, but it is a great site, and the people behind it are wonderful. I expect sales to be a little slow for a while, but it takes time to build up a good number of sellers to attract good buyers. Let's keep it going!

Cheers,
Sarah

I'm really enjoying it there, too. I find the people running it are very responsive to the sellers -- well, the whole thing is in beta, so we're all kinda working on it together. It's quite exciting!

I'm focusing on ArtFire for now and letting my Etsy stores sit fairly idle.
