What is your favorite vintage find?
I have always loved vintage clothes and accessories-not only for their uniqueness, but for the stories they have to tell. In particular, I am fascinated with antique lockets. A locket is not merely a piece of jewelry, but an heirloom, a keepsake, and a constant reminder of your loved ones. Last year, my siblings and I gave my mom a locket necklace and put photos of us inside. It is very sentimental to her and will likely be passed onto generations to come. what a lovely idea.
I have a locket which my gran left to me. I love it more than anything and was always wanting to open it when I was little. It has a picture of my grandad and my great grandmother inside.
M daughter loves it too and one day it will be hers

I have two pieces. Since our name is Minerva, i did some checking. All kinds of Minerva stuff. I found a tiny gold picket watch inscribed in German. It is lovely. Runs, but needs a new stem for setting it.
The second is a lovely Japanese fan from the late 1800's, hand painted, from the collection of a lovely eccentric lady who was named Pansy. She was a grand dam in Austin in the early 1920-30's. Complete with bed jackets and all the gorgeous art deco jewelry to match. I also have a few pair of her teeensy tiny gloves as she was barely 5' tall!
I always have my eyes open to vintage anything. Fascinating stuff and always a story behind it.
