Indiepublic

I've just started a group for the shoppers and buyers on DaWanda at http://indiepublic.ning.com/group/dawanda

I'm still fine tuning the group, but would love you to get in touch and join me.

I heard about it a while ago but never joined. Do you like it?

I like it very much and have even sold a few items... I think they have a new offer for new shop members, so might be worth considering again.

Here's the english site link http://en.dawanda.com/

Hi Rachel,

I think because the site is still quite new there are some technical difficulties at the moment, but you do get used to the site.

Anyone else on DaWanda?

I signed up a week ago, but will only set up shop now.

Am trying to figure out if I can have a bilingual shop that shows up in both the French and English sections; although I heard that for the moment the site works best for German-speaking sellers... I have no luck, do I!? :)

You can publish your items in English, French and German for free. This option comes up in the item template - any problems and DaWanda admin are a great help... you can always raise questions in the DaWanda forum too, other sellers are always happy to help.

hi-

i sell on dawanda too (or, i should say, i have listed...) unfortunately i've had much better luck on etsy. i think the dawanda site is tricky to navigate. there is not nearly as much traffic yet.

i speak german and should probably list everything in german and french (i speak that too, living in morocco) but, eek! what work! translating everything twice. oh la la.

what have others' experiences been?

It is still a very new site, so traffic was slow a few months ago, but I have definately seen a big jump in number over the last month.

They are still making changes to the site to make it easier, but there are lots of things that are great about the site too!

Have you seen our group at http://indiepublic.ning.com/group/dawanda ? It is worth joining to see how we aim to promote our shops.

Sara.

We're on Dawanda, been there about two months.

Like somebody else said I think it's difficult to navigate and to find things. I did a search for our items yesterday and they don't show up in search, which is weird, so who knows how people are supposed to find them?

We did have a sale there though 2 days ago so that's great but so far we do a lot better on Etsy. I hope Dawanda gets better because I like being on a European site for a change :)

I think things take a few days to show up on the search... but they will should show on the catalogue though. Might be worth contacting Admin.

Great to hear you are doing well... Sara x
